Kimeme Ackley is RMI-ECD’s Beneficiary Outreach and Social Media Officer and has been in this position since January, 2025. Before that she took an intern position with ECD that allowed her to complete her Bachelor of Social Work from Brigham Young University – Hawaii. During her time in university she was able to take a few courses in Early Childhood Development that really caught her interest. Previous to studying abroad Ms. Ackley was known as Sister Ackley for 18 months as she served a mission in the U.S. representing her religion. There she obtained more knowledge and skills. At the College of the Marshall Islands, Kimeme was able to learn some ASL (American Sign Language) which she expanded upon during her mission. All of these experiences have contributed to her passion for programs that support the health, well-being, and inclusion of individuals and families – like the Early Childhood Development program.
